ANXIETY – a feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease about something with an uncertain outcome.
Is this a feeling that you have experienced? Is it a feeling that stops you reaching out when you need help?
Many people live in a cluttered, disorganised environment with the causes being attributed to reasons such as grief, changes in circumstances, illness and mental health, just to name a few.
People will determine themselves or with professional help, when the time is right to face the clutter and disorganisation however when the time arrives, it is confronting and scary.
Can you remember that time you needed to confront an awkward situation? How did you feel? Were you anxious about the reaction, maybe it gave you knots in the stomach. These are feelings many of my clients have when they meet me for the first time.
When I ring the door bell, the door is opened slightly and at that moment, I know I am greeting anxiety at the door and in that moment, as I take that first step into their world of embarrassment, overwhelm and possible isolation, I will always make sure that the first impression my client receives is one of friendly, non-judgemental calmness.
I applaud all of my clients no matter what their circumstance for taking that first step into finding their ‘Place of Calm’ and contacting me for help.
